What we laser engrave
We engrave stainless steel tumblers and drinkware, hardwood and bamboo cutting and charcuterie boards, acrylic, leather, glass, slate, MDF and coated metals. Each material takes the laser differently: wood darkens to a rich burn, glass frosts to a soft etch, and coated steel reverses to a bright mark, so part of every quote is matching the item to the finish you are picturing.
Typical work runs from a single engraved gift to a few hundred pieces: custom tumblers and Yeti-style bottles, wedding and anniversary boards, memorial and pet ornaments, house and cabin signs, growth charts, whiskey glasses and flasks, name tags, coasters and awards.
Engraving or UV printing: which one you actually want
Laser engraving removes or darkens the surface itself, so the mark is part of the item and will not peel or fade. It is permanent and tactile, but it is a single tone: the colour is whatever the material becomes under the laser.
When a design needs real colour (a multi-colour company logo, or artwork on a golf ball), UV printing is the right process instead, laying cured ink directly onto the surface. We do both, so the honest answer for a logo with three brand colours is usually printing, not engraving.
Bring us an item you already own
You do not have to buy the blank from us. We regularly engrave customer-supplied items: Yeti, Stanley and other brand tumblers, tools, knives, glassware, boards, and keepsakes that already mean something.
Send a photo first and we will confirm it is suitable before you hand it over. Some finishes and plastics do not engrave cleanly, and a one-off item with sentimental value is not something to find that out on.
Artwork, fonts, and a free proof before anything is made
Vector artwork is best (.ai, .eps, .svg, .pdf) because it scales with perfectly crisp edges, and high-resolution .png, .jpg or .webp files usually work well too. If all you have is a photo, a screenshot or an old business card, send it anyway. We can often redraw it.
You do not need a designer. Most orders start from a few lines of text, a sketch, or a photo, and you can browse our library of 270+ fonts to pick the lettering yourself. Every order then gets a digital proof showing size, placement and colour on the actual item, and nothing goes on a machine until you approve it. Changes at the proof stage are free.
Turnaround, rush orders, pickup and shipping
Most orders are ready in 3 to 5 business days after you approve the proof. Larger corporate runs typically take one to two weeks depending on quantity and how many items need individual names.
If you have a fixed date (a wedding, a retirement, a tournament, a trade show), tell us the in-hands date up front and we will confirm whether it is achievable before you commit. Local pickup in Auburn Bay (SE Calgary) is free and is always the fastest option; we also ship across Canada.
